How we calculate your calories

We use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, widely considered the most accurate formula for estimating Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) — the calories your body needs at complete rest. We then multiply by your activity factor to get your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), and adjust for your goal.
